You can drive 45-50 minutes from Las Vegas if you have a car or take one of the many Hoover Dam tours that pick up at your hotel.

Make sure to walk from Nevada across the O'Callaghan-Tillman Memorial Bridge to Arizona. It's about a half mile each way.

Parking for the Memorial Bridge is free as is walking across it.

For parking at the dam, you can park for $10 on the Nevada side or drive across the top of the dam to one of the free upper parking lots on the Arizona side. There is closer $10 lot on the Arizona side too.

For the Guided Dam Tour, you have to purchase tickets onsite while for the Power Plant tour, you can purchase tickets ahead of time.

If you are looking for something to eat, you can enjoy patio views or eat indoors at the Hoover Dam cafe.

If you opt to not do a tour and park in one of the free lots, you can visit the Hoover Dam for free.
